We believe every dog deserves a safe place to stay, compassionate care, and the opportunity to find a loving family. That's why we're proud to partner with Until They're Home, a Colorado-based nonprofit dedicated to reducing shelter populations and helping homeless pets find permanent homes.
A Second Chance. A Forever Home.
Once a stray with an uncertain future, this sweet girl was taken to a humane society where no family came to claim her. Until They’re Home stepped in, pulled her to safety, and matched her with her forever family.
She quickly bonded with the family’s young child – choosing them as her favorite person. Now she’s thriving, loved, a devoted service companion, and making a life-changing difference every day. Her story is a shining example of the impact Until They’re Home makes for dogs who simply need a chance.
How We're Helping
Through our partnership with Until They’re Home , The Dog Ranch provides support in two important ways:
Overflow Boarding Support
When foster homes or shelter resources become limited, we can provide temporary kennel space to help ensure dogs have a comfortable place to stay while they await foster placement, adoption, or reunification with their families.
Helping Dogs Find Their Forever Homes
We regularly feature adoptable dogs through our website, social media channels, and community outreach efforts. By sharing their stories, we hope to connect more deserving dogs with the loving families they deserve.
Temporary Foster Support
One of the unique ways our partner serves the community is through its temporary foster program. The program helps keep pets and their families together during times of crisis by providing temporary care for animals when their owners are facing challenging life circumstances.
Support may be available to individuals who are:
- Escaping domestic violence situations
- Unhoused or between housing
- Entering medical or mental health treatment programs
- Facing temporary hardships that make caring for their pets difficult
By providing a safe place for pets during these transitions, families can focus on getting back on their feet without having to make the heartbreaking decision to surrender a beloved companion.

Bubba is currently enjoying his stay at The Dog Ranch, where he’s winning over everyone he meets while waiting for his forever family.
Smart, affectionate, and incredibly loyal, Bubba loves being close to his people—whether he’s curled up at the foot of the bed, snuggling beside you, or resting his head against your chest for a hug. He also loves the outdoors, and just mentioning a walk gets his whole body wagging!
Bubba is a quiet, easygoing companion around the house. He has lived successfully with cats and has spent time around other dogs, but would thrive as the only dog or with a calm, respectful companion who gives him space.
He’s still working on his leash manners and tends to pull when he’s excited to explore, but he’s eager to get out and enjoy the world.
